The name Libre comes from the combination of the first names of its married founders, Lisa Lefebvre and Bren Tully Walsh.
Late-career professionals with a shared vision for a family-run business, they set out to serve South Shore seniors with care, dignity, and practicality. The company has been many years in the making.
Lisa’s background as a senior volunteer network administrator placed her at the heart of daily senior care operations at the Centre d’Action Bénévole du Grand Châteauguay. Bren’s career in marketing communications and journalism—including work as a U.S.-based health reporter for NPR—brings deep experience working with and advocating for seniors in addition volunteer works as visitor, music entertainer, and animator.
Together, their personal experience caring for their own parents revealed a critical gap between Quebec’s overburdened public in-home care system and the need for affordable, flexible private support. Libre Rive-Sud was created to fill that gap—with heart, trust, and purpose.
